my dear friend, liz, gave me this book to document ramona's first days and months. it's filled with beautiful and intricate paper cuts and is straightforward and simple. i look forward to slowly filling this up for her to look back on and read.

necklace holder

i found this necklace holder (probably originally a key ring holder) at a thrift store. it was brass. i spray painted it shiny black. it hangs next to my side of the bed and helps me keep all my necklaces (and some earrings) organized and accessible. 

next i need to paint those metal screws black!

i saw these lovers at the denver chalk art fest, a silly little event down on larimer square.

chicken scratch

that massive pile of greens (leftover from a miscalculation of needed food for the wedding) was gone faster than you can say "hog wild."

otto is hot

this is where otto goes when he's feeling the heat of a denver summer (our embarrassingly unkempt closet). i'm surprised he hasn't discovered the cool tile of the shower floor.

pooped out

driving home, finally, after 11 days of work and pulling an all-nighter to ensure fresh sandwiches for the wedding we catered. like i said, he's a hard worker (promise you, i'll post a photo of him awake soon).

strawberry plant

as a thank you gift for throwing her a shower, lizzie got me this really fun strawberry planter. it came with soil pellets (just add water!) and teeny tiny strawberry seeds. it has a perfect home on the front steps next to the garlic, basil and parsley.
